Different type of subject

My boss.

I don't know why I put up with it. Really I don't.

I was summoned into his office the other day to go over some things, as we normally do.

As I sat down he called me "sexy specs". I laughed. He then said--'your glasses make you look like a dork'....I said, 'funny, I get a lot of compliments on them'...

him: "yeah, right"
me: "hey, I do..."
him: "you need to get contacts"...

End of discussion. So, let me get this straight--Not ONLY do I drive a car that he has told me on many occasions he does not like ('you need to get a Camry')...now he feels that I need contacts too.

Why do I put up with this???

Vegas

Going to Vegas again!

Now to save up enough for gamblin', shoppin' and eatin'!!! We will be out there an extra day this time. I will also be there on a weekend AND a holiday (Memorial Day)...So excited!!

Maybe, just maybe, this will be the time I will win something. Something! Anything!!

Facebook peeps

I had to delete a facebook acquaintance. I thought I knew this person, they seemed to have known me-they were the one that requested the add.

I thought maybe once I saw them comment about stuff, it would ring a bell and I would remember them.

Not only don't I remember them, they have turned out to be the most negative, sad-sack, woe-is-me person I've ever seen. Normally, I would leave it alone-I mean, come on, I need all the friends I can get, right?

This person would drone on about how they are being evicted from their home. The next day-not another word.

They are soooo depressed all the time. Blah Blah.

The final straw? They complained about not having enough food to feed the family. Fair enough, I can deal with that. They got food stamps and bought over $300-worth of food. I can deal with that too. I know you can't buy a lot of things with food stamps, so they got what was allowed. That's cool.

What I'm not cool with is: if this person is so broke and destitute and ready to be evicted, why do they still sit on facebook all day? Apparently they are paying their internet bills. They have no problem paying those, do they?

I think she is on there to get sympathy, but maybe also to get someone to "help her out"--you know, send money or something.

I know it sounds mean, but I have had it with this person!

Rant closed.

Lazy Sunday

Kitties and I are just having a lazy Sunday. Not much going on.

Laura @ work said Friday that since someone was fired, the office seems much nicer. I didn't realize how much she disliked the co-worker.

I thought about sending an email to ex co-worker and telling her that I was "hurt" and a little ticked off that she blamed me for her email getting into the wrong hands thereby causing her firing.

But what's the point? If she can't figure out that the email was the last straw and her firing was a lot more than just a little email, I really can't help her.

I am just wondering when I'll get the next drunk phone call from her.

Exasperated

Well, just as I suspected, TOXIC CO-WORKER took off today at 11:30 to "go home and go to bed" because she was just *so* sick! This woman has not worked a 40 hour week in a LONG time. And they let her get away with it. I just don't understand it.

Seemed fine when she got in. She came down to my office around 11:20 crying (fake) saying "I just don't know what's wrong with me but I wish it would stop..."

I've said this before-tears in the office DO NOT work for me. Ever.

You don't see guys crying about stupid things at work, do you? Why is it that women have to use the tears and be such drama queens all the time? And manipulative.

I also found out that she asked for her paycheck early and got it. She was paid through today-and she takes off half the day?? And she wasn't going to go to the guys and ask if she could go home (like she normally does-and they always let her of course...) because she KNOWS she's taken too much time off already.

She wanted a Friday afternoon off. Plain and simple.

I emailed my boss, because to my knowledge, she didn't even clear it with any of the guys (they were all out of the office "on assignment"). I do not feel bad about emailing him, either. If they don't do something about her soon, I don't know what I'm going to do!!

She had the nerve to tell me to stop being so cranky the other day, like I'm not allowed to ever be cranky around her. She snapped at me several times earlier in the week because SHE was crabby. At the time I made light of it, but because of her comment to me, I have now changed my whole attitude. Permanently. This little drama episode today got on my last nerve.

Message to Paul McCartney

Please, for the love of what's pure in the world, GIVE IT UP.

You have become a curmudgeonly cranky old poo. You don't even sing very well anymore, honestly. And you certainly aren't the "cute one" anymore, are you, really? You have become as annoying as Rod Stewart.

You get all high and mighty and upset when people bring up the past with you. "The past is the past" you always say. But yet, there you go, dragging out all the hits from that first group you were in, like somehow we're going to appreciate the songs a little more. We don't. In fact, you are just ruining them now. Stop!

Do us a favor. Buy an island with your $billions$, move there, count your money all day long and LEAVE US ALONE.
