790---it's just a number

toot toot

Okay, not one to toot my own horn--but I checked my FICO score the other day. To my surprise, amusement and yes, even dismay...I found that my score is a whopping 790! Can you believe it? A 790! That's really good. In fact, some would say "excellent".

So, why don't I still get the best interest rates? Why isn't anyone helping me out with credits and incentives? I've worked all my life to build up a great credit score, and for what? Just a pat on the back for a "job well done"???

Where's my $8,000 first time homebuyer incentive? Where's my re-fi at an extremely low rate?

It would figure that by the time I got my FICO where I wanted it, and then some, that it wouldn't even matter anymore....and it really doesn't, does it?

Thunder & Lightning

Can't type for long...Bad weather moving in.

Getting ready to do the family dinner thing in about an hour or so.

I really wish I had a more exciting life-but this it right now. I need a hobby.

Previously mentioned tv is very nice. When they were setting it up, I actually stood there with my mouth open. I caught myself...Pretty funny.

Now if I could keep the kitties away from it, I'd be happy...

Addendum to Waiting...

12:40. Still waiting. For Someone. Anyone.

Actually, I've received 3 phone calls: air conditioning man will be here after 1:00; Directv guy will be here around 1:00 or 1:30; Geek Squad (with tv) will be here between 2-4.

I SO could have slept in today....

Waiting...

It seems that's all I do anymore.

I'm sitting here waiting for the Directv guy who is scheduled to be here between 8-12. It is now 10:00...I got up early for this? On my day off? Needless to say, my first instinct about him getting here around 11:00 is probably true. But, if I had slept in he would have been knocking at my door at promptly 8:00.

Then, after that, the tv will arrive. THAT'S scheduled between 12-5. Probably won't see it until about 4:45.

AND, I have the air conditioning guy coming between 12-3. Yearly maintenance.

*sigh*

Facebook

Faceboring. I deleted my account today. I tend to not stick around very much on those types of sites. I had a myspace account for a while too.

Maybe it's partly because they were "cyber" friends and they really aren't/weren't there for me in real life, you know....Even the people I got back in touch with on facebook were never really interested in meeting up to catch up on each other's lives. Everyone has their own life now. Who needs me?

Bad mood today. Cranky.

Pet insurance

Well, a few weeks ago I broke down and bought some pet insurance. I just can't think about what might happen if something happened to one of the kitties and I didn't have enough money. I don't know anyone that has pet insurance. I figure it's just one of those things I'll have and just forget about. Until I need it. I hope I never do.
